Following a decision by the members attending Great Fall MT last September plans are moving forward for the 27th annual reunion in Charlotte NC. Registration will be on Wednesday September 27 and the gathering will close with and our final banquet on Saturday September on 30th. We’ll start of every morning with a solid breakfast before going by comfortable air-conditioned buses to sites and attractions.  Tentative plans include the NASCAR Hall of Fame, Charlotte Aviation Museum and the Billy Graham Library.
Charlotte, the “Queen City” is a major international airline hub and has many diverse attractions lot to offer young and old. We suggest you to arrive a few days early and stay a few days later to absorb the flavor of a growing vibrant city, enjoy great restaurants and see the many attractions of the financial capital of the south. As plans are finalized they will be provided here.

If you’re a BAVA member you should make every effort to attend.  Meet your friends, share your stories and hear other stories…….. even if they get better with each telling.

To The Men and Women of the Berlin Airlift

This visit to Germany by Vice President elect Barkley affords me an ideal opportunity to express to you who are engaged in the Berlin airlift my deep appreciation of your outstanding service.

The Berlin Airlift, under the direction of our Air Force, is an achievement of historic and far-reaching significance, by the joint efforts of our Army, Navy, and Air Force, together with the forces of Great Britian and France, It expresses the unity of the Western nations in the cause of peace.

Operation Vittles has assured the world of our faith in our ideals.  We are grateful to all of you who have made this possible.

At the Christmas Season the American people are thinking of you and your loved ones.  On their behalf, I again wish you a very Merry Christmas.
